UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta welcomed a visit from the University of Lampung, which took place in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Thursday (2/11/2023). This visit was part of an exchange of experiences and programs between the two universities on their journey toward becoming World Class University.
Acting Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Business and Information UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., accompanied by the Director of the Directorate of Cooperation, Development and Internationalization UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mohamad Harisudin, M.Sc., personally welcomed the delegation from the University of Lampung, led by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, M.T. and the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and ICT, Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., MBA.
In his remarks, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., the Acting Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Business and Information UNS, welcomed the delegation from the University of Lampung. “UNS was designated as a Legal Entity State University (PTNBH) in October 2020. As a relatively young PTNBH, UNS has achieved several rankings on its journey to becoming a World Class University,” Prof. Irwan explained.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation and ICT at the University of Lampung, Dr. Ayi Ahadiat, S.E., MBA., expressed his gratitude to the UNS leadership for receiving the visit from the University of Lampung. “What Prof. Irwan just shared has been very enlightening for us. Therefore, what has been shared here can become a topic of discussion for us. And, of course, this visit is a blessing for the University of Lampung,” Dr. Ayi said.
Dr. Ayi expressed his admiration for UNS, as it is 12 years younger than the University of Lampung but has achieved remarkable success. “The development of UNS from year to year has been remarkable and something to be proud of. So, it’s no wonder we chose UNS as our destination to visit. Despite being still young, UNS has achieved exceptional success,” he added.
On the other hand, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the University of Lampung, Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, M.T., acknowledged his admiration for UNS’s achievements, including the Main Performance Indicator (IKU) award and rankings at the national and international levels. “Thank you for this discussion and sharing; hopefully it will be beneficial for both sides,” Dr. Suripto said.
