UNS — As a form of their concern toward the society, the Dharma Wanita Persatuan Universitas Sebelas Maret (DWP UNS) Surakarta (red: a women organization whose members are the wife of Indonesian civil servant), organizes a sharing event entitled ‘DWP UNS Care to Share.’ The action is implemented in the form of free staple food sharing for the security staff in the UNS campus area, totaling 350 packages. This assistance is handed to the staff symbolically through the representative of security staff in UNS and DWP UNS Secretariat Office on Tuesday (4/5/2021).
The Head of DWP UNS, Budhi Widjayanti Jamal Wiwoho, in her remark, mentions that this DWP UNS Care is addressed to the less fortunate UNS academic members, especially during this Covid-19 pandemic. “The packages are distributed to the security staff in UNS. Not only in Kentingan campus, but all UNS campuses in other regions,” Budhi explains.
Budhi adds that the packages were the assistance from BNI and Bank Mandiri. Therefore, representing the DWP administrative staff, Budhi expresses her gratitude to BNI and Bank Mandiri for the packages. “We receive 250 packages from BNI and 100 packages from Bank Mandiri with additional cash donation amounted to 10 million rupiahs for the UNS Peduli,” Budhi added.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Rector for Management and Human Resources Affairs UNS, Prof. Bandi, who was also attending the event, appreciates the DWP administrative staff and members. “Hopefully, this event can be beneficial for all of us. On behalf of UNS, we would thank BNI and Bank Mandiri for the assistance given to DWP UNS and UNS Peduli,” Prof. Bandi states.
The Head of the BNI Surakarta Branch, Husni Imawan Junaidi, thanks the committee for being involved in this noble activity. “We hope this assistance can be useful for UNS academic members who deserve it,” Husni reveals.
Meanwhile, the Area Head Bank Mandiri Solo, Ony Suryono Widodo, adds that aside from the staple food packages, Bank Mandiri also donates a certain amount of cash to the UNS Peduli account. “Hopefully, this will be useful, and we are happy to collaborate with UNS and DWP UNS,” Oni said. Humas UNS
