UNS — Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Constitutional Court (MK) of the Republic of Indonesia Wednesday (25/5/2022) morning. The agreement was signed as a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding between UNS and MK RI on Improving the Understanding of Citizens’ Constitutional Rights and Quality of Law Higher Education, signed on 2 March. The agreement signatory ceremony held in the FISIP UNS Hall was attended directly by the Chair of the MK RI, Dr. Anwar Usman, Constitutional Judge, Prof. Arief Hidayat, and the Dean of FISIP UNS, Prof. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni.
While visiting FISIP UNS, he also delivered a public lecture entitled “Internalization of Pancasila Ideology in the Digital Age for Millennial Generation” to FISIP UNS students after witnessing the ceremony. It should be noted that the scope agreed upon by both parties includes internship/field practices, teaching/teaching assistance, community service, and human resources enhancement and empowerment. Meanwhile, the study programs involved in the agreement between FISIP UNS and MK RI are the State Administration Study Program, Sociology, International Relations (HI), and Communication Science.
In an interview after the ceremony, Anwar Usman welcomed the cooperation established with FISIP UNS. To uns.ac.id, he said that MK RI provides opportunities for FISIP UNS students to participate in an internship program. “Alhamdulillah, it has been agreed that MK RI will provide an opportunity for FISIP UNS faculty members and students to learn at MK RI regarding constitutional enforcement and law enforcement,” explained Anwar Usman.
He gladly expressed MK RI’s openness in welcoming FISIP UNS students to the upcoming internship program. “Of course, we are enthusiastic to welcome FISIP students at MK RI later. Also, the general lecture I presented today was a constitutional mandate as well as a good deeds because sharing knowledge to fellow people is a reward,” he concluded. Humas UNS
