UNS – In total 60 students from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta joined the audition for D’videocaster Hunt organized by Detikcom in the LPPM UNS meeting room, on Tuesday (3/3/2020). This event is one of the series of Detikcom Goes to Campus event that was held for two days, Tuesday-Wednesday, 3-4 March 2020.
Endzico, as the Supervisor of Brand Communication in Detikcom, states that the objective of this audition is to find talent as a Detikcom icon. “Moreover, Detikcom also wants to accommodate the existing content creator, thus encouraging creative content creation that has special characteristics,” concludesEndzico.
During the registration, all participants have to submit a creative introduction video with a duration of 1 minute, which uploaded to Youtube. The next stage includes an interview and lives casting in front of the jury camera. The juries for this stage are the Editor in Chief of Detikcom, AlfitoDeannova, Vice Editor in Chief Detikcom, Ardhi Suryadi, and the Managing Editor Detikcom, IdhamSammana.
After the audition is finished, there will be 6 participants who will be chosen to continue to the next stage and will receive the announcement through e-mail. The 6 selected participants will follow a live audition with the following juries: RadityaDika (Youtuber and stand-up comedian), AlfitoDeannova, and Tri Rismamaharini (Mayor of Surabaya), that will be conducted on March 4th in G.P.H HaryoMataram Auditorium UNS. Afterward, 2 champions will be selected, who will receive a prize amounted to Rp 3.500.000.
The enthusiasm from the participants’ facial expressions is shown since they were entering the audition room. One of the participants, Putri, who is the alumni of UNS said that she is excited with the D’videocaster Hunt in UNS. The 24-year-old woman joined the audition because she is interested in digital media, especially YouTube. Even though previously she felt anxious and nervous, but after performing in front of the camera, she can overcome her anxiety and can deliver an expressive performance. “This event is super cool and can be used as a forum to accommodate and channel the millennial generation expression in front of the camera,” said Putri.
