UNS — Professor from Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., received the 2022 ‘Human Resource Academic Leaders Award’ Diktiristek Award. Prof. Irwan is granted an award for Lecturers in the Social and Humanities Sub-Category. The award was bestowed in an awarding ceremony conducted at The Sultan Hotel & Residence, Jakarta, and was broadcasted through the Ditjen Diktiristek Official Youtube channel on Thursday (15/12/2022).
The Diktiristek Award was hosted and organized by the Directorate of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek), Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The Academic Leaders title was reserved for lecturers with clear academic visions, inspiring their colleagues, young lecturers, and students. Moreover, they are also actively producing innovative achievements, which serve as a reference for their peers, government, and industrial sector, at the same time acknowledged by the national and international academic community.
In short, a higher education institution’s success is determined by lecturers with visionary, innovative, inspiring, and excellent Academic Leaders capacities. This title was awarded to lecturers with excellent Higher Education Tri Dharma achievement, great contributions to the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) achievements, and commendable scientific leadership capacity.
Prof. Irwan is a lecturer from FEB UNS, who currently also serves as the Director at the Directorate for Partnership, Development, and Internationalization UNS.
“I am thrilled, touched, and proud to be selected as one of the nominees from all across Indonesia after going through numerous selection stages. Hopefully, this achievement can be beneficial for UNS and become an inspiration for our fellow lecturers, to always work hard and inspire students to accomplish excellent achievements,” he stated on Monday (19/12/2022).
Prof. Irwan explains that there are four stages in the 2022 Academic Leaders Award. The first stage was internal selection conducted by each Higher Education institution, where the designated assessors conducted a desk evaluation and verified participants’ submitted documents. At this stage, five experts are designated by the Directorate of Human Resources, Ditjen Diktiristek Kemendikbudristek, to carry out the assessment.
“Next, the assessment team will conduct a verification (fact-finding) on the three best finalists who passed the first stage for each category. The last stage is where the assessment team recommended the selected lecturers nominated for Academic Leaders for each category to the Ditjen Diktiristek, who will finally determine the winner,” he explained.
