UNS – The Faculty of Sports (FKOR) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, held a Judicium and Tasyakuran, a gratitude gathering, on Thursday (16/1/2025). The event, conducted at the Semi-Indoor Tennis Building, FKOR Manahan, aimed to evaluate and monitor the academic achievements of its students.
The event was attended by the Rector and Vice Rectors of UNS, the Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees (MWA) UNS, the Dean and Vice Deans of FKOR UNS, faculty members, and students.
In his opening remarks, the Dean of FKOR UNS, Prof. Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for the faculty’s accomplishments. He highlighted FKOR’s increasing academic and non-academic achievements, strengthening UNS’s reputation as a high-quality university. He also noted the addition of new professors and the promotion of several lecturers, reflecting a promising professional environment.
“This event is a celebration of our gratitude for the appointment of new professors, nine associate professors, and several doctoral graduates. FKOR has also contributed significantly to student achievements, with a total of 177 awards won at various national and international competitions,” he stated.


Rector’s Acknowledgment
The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si., in his speech, emphasized the significance of this moment as a form of responsibility for students toward their parents. He praised FKOR’s remarkable growth and its outstanding achievements at national and international levels.
Prof. Hartono also underlined the importance of balancing sports skills with essential soft skills to prepare students for the workforce. He stressed the need for effective communication, leadership, and organizational management skills to complement their cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities.
“These achievements must continue to grow. Numerous opportunities await sports graduates in the professional world. However, alongside academic accomplishments, students must also develop soft skills such as effective communication, leadership, and organizational abilities. These are crucial for expanding their opportunities, enhancing activities, and building comprehensive competencies,” Prof. Hartono said.
In addition, Prof. Hartono extended his congratulations to FKOR lecturers who have reached significant academic milestones. He lauded the efforts of those who earned new academic titles and functional promotions, describing their achievements as exemplary and inspiring for the academic community.
“The appointment of new professors at FKOR is expected to motivate other faculty members to achieve the highest academic ranks. The university leadership fully supports every step toward this goal,” he added.
Student Awards Ceremony
During the main event, FKOR UNS presented awards to students with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Averages (CGPA). The recipients included students from the doctoral (S-3), master’s (S-2), and bachelor’s (S-1) programs in Sports Science, as well as the Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (PJKR) and Sports Coaching Education (PKOR) programs. Awards were also given to students with the best Semester Grade Point Averages (SGPA) from the 2024 cohorts of the PKOR and PJKR programs.
The Judicium and Tasyakuran event marked an important milestone in celebrating achievements while inspiring the academic community to continue contributing and excelling.
