UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held its eighth graduation ceremony of 2024 at the G.P.H Haryo Mataram Auditorium on Saturday (28/9/2024). During the event, UNS Rector, Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M. Si., delivered an important message to the 1.477 graduates, reminding them that they are ambassadors for UNS. The university’s reputation will continue to be reflected through the actions of its alumni.
“For UNS, every graduate is an ambassador. Through you, the good name of Universitas Sebelas Maret will continue to shine, embodying the quality of education and the integrity we uphold. Continue to innovate, collaborate, and be individuals who prioritize values of goodness, professionalism, and care for others,” Prof. Hartono stated.
In his remarks, the Rector also emphasized that in the future, graduates will face greater challenges, both in their professional careers and in society. With the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained during their study at UNS, the graduates are expected to make meaningful contributions and bring about positive change.
Among the graduates was Dr. Heru Setiawan, Secretary General of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (RI), who also delivered a speech as a representative of the graduates. Dr. Heru completed his Doctoral Program in Law at UNS, more than a decade after earning his Master’s degree in 2009. He has dedicated nearly 20 years of service to the Constitutional Court before rising to the position of Secretary General—a testament to hard work, loyalty, and persistence in building a career, serving as a model for the younger generation.



The graduation report was delivered by the UNS Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si., and the Rector’s decree regarding the conferral of degrees was read by the Director of the UNS Directorate of Academic Affairs, Dr. Agr. Ir. Sigit Prastowo, S.Pt., M.Si., IPU., ASEAN Eng. The Prasetya pledge was recited by Vito Christian Umbu Gori.
The ceremony also highlighted several outstanding graduates. The fastest doctoral graduate was Triyono Adi Saputro from the Law Program, completing his studies in 2 years and 6 months. The youngest doctoral graduate was Rida Nurlatifasari from the Linguistics Program, at the age of 31 years and 4 months. For the master’s program, the fastest graduate was Luthfiana Yunita Dewi from the Indonesian Language Education Program, finishing in 1 year and 4 months, while the youngest master’s graduate was Nidya Jullanar Salman from the Mechanical Engineering Program, aged 22 years and 4 months.
In the undergraduate program, Emilia Prahara Sukma from the Visual Communication Design Program (DKV) was the fastest graduate, completing her studies in 3 years and 5 months, while the youngest graduate was Davieq Fasholla Hakam from the Communication Science Program, at 20 years and 10 months.
In the Diploma IV program, Anjani Nur Azizah from the Applied Midwifery Program was the fastest graduate, completing her studies in 3 years and 10 months, while Arya Destilata from the Demography and Civil Registration Program (DPS) was the youngest graduate, aged 21 years and 6 months. In the Diploma III program, the fastest graduate was Erika Fajar Muldiani from the Taxation Program, finishing in 2 years and 8 months, while the youngest graduate was Tasqia Gusti Cahyani from the Midwifery Program, aged 20 years and 1 month.
