UNS — Aside from the Sangiran dan Lokananta Virtual Reality (VR) Showcase during the Smart IT Fest ‘Innovation of D-3 TI As a Solution During the Pandemic, Collaboration with Industry’, on Saturday (10/10/2020), the Diploma in Information Technology (D-3 TI) Study Program, Vocational School (SV), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, is also showcasing the IOHT and NORI, virtually.
IOHT, an abbreviation of the Internet of Healthcare Things, is an innovation to measure patients’ heartbeats signal, muscle bioelectricity, and skin resistance. Collaborating with the Klinik Mutiara Sehat, the D-3 TI Study Program design an IOHT with Wireless Fidelity (Wifi) feature to submit the data that will be transferred to a controller known as ESP-32.
“The measured data is transferred through Wi-Fi. The application itself is a combination of hardware and software, where the measured data will be sent to a wireless web application on a local server,” explains the Head of D-3 TI Study Program, Hartatik, M.Si.
In an official release received by uns.ac.id, IOHT is designed by the study program development team, with team members Luthfi Hildhasari, Novian Indah Fajriani, and Nova Damayanti, while supervised by Muh. Asri Syafi’ie, S. Si, M. Kom. With this IOHT advanced technology, which allows medical staff to send patients data through Wi-Fi, the direct contact with patients can be reduced, this will reduce the potential of Covid-19 transmission.
Besides IOHT, another innovation introduced during the D-3 TI SV UNS Smart IT Fest is a queuing application called NORI. This application is made by last-year students from the D-3 TI SV UNS, Wikantoro Trisnoadi. Wikantoro reveals that he was motivated to create the application because he was bored with the queuing culture in Indonesia, which usually took time. “The ongoing Covid-19 situation encourages the public to reduce the physical queue. This application can be used to organize better-queuing practice and to inform the condition of the physical queue. The development was done in collaboration with the D-3 TI Study Program SV UNS, Nanang Maulana, S.Si, M.Cs,” Wikantoro explains.
Ha added that NORI is designed for the general queue, thus any company can apply this innovation. Users only need to download NORI through their gadget and then they can manage the queue for the ongoing event. Humas UNS
