UNS — Structural Engineering Education Program (PTB) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) workshop to improve the quality and implementation of MBKM program for students.
The workshop on Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) preparation and evaluation of the MBKM program in PTB FKIP UNS was held on Monday (28/3/2022). The workshop was held in a hybrid method and invited Aris Widodo, S.Pd., M.T., from the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes). The best practice sharing by the speaker is expected to provide a reference for PTB UNS in managing its MBKM program.
The Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., explained the MBKM program implementation in the faculty while emphasizing the importance of partnership among the universities and industry. The Dean also explained the importance of SOP in running the MBKM program and activities.
The workshop was attended by faculty members, academic staff, and students who were enthusiastic about participating. In his presentation, Aris Widodo, S.Pd., M.T discussed the development of the MBKM program, which initially focused more on student exchange among the universities.
“The MBKM activities continue to expand to other activities. Unnes has developed a web-based system that can be accessed from related parties anywhere,” Aris explained.
Following the material was a discussion session. The most discussed topic in the workshop was the recognition process. The discussion was followed by a review of SOP of the MBKM program in PTB led by MBKM coordinator Dr. Ag. Tamrin.
The workshop resulted in the final SOP for MBKM PTB that will be implemented in the second semester of 2021/2022. The workshop was closed by the Head of the PTB Program, Dr. Rumintoyo, M.Pd., who hoped that the SOP would provide detailed and clear direction for MBKM program implementation in the PTB program.
