UNS — Following the return of the mandate and the extension of the term of office as Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta by Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. to the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Mendikbudristek) on January 16, 2024, Mendikbudristek has appointed the Inspector General of the Ministry, Dr. Chatarina Muliana Girsang, S.H., S.E., M.H., as the Acting Rector of UNS. This is in accordance with the Decree of Mendikbudristek Number 2055/M/06/2024 signed directly by Nadiem Anwar Makarim on January 18, 2024.
According to the Decree of Mendikbudristek RI, starting January 18, 2024, in addition to carrying out duties as the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Techology, Dr. Chatarina will also serve as the Acting Rector of UNS until the definitive Rector of UNS is inaugurated.
The Acting General and Human Resources Vice Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. E. Muhtar, S.Pd., M.Si., CFrA, stated that Mendikbudristek approved the letter of request from Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., regarding the return of the mandate and the extension of the term of office as Rector of UNS, which was sent on January 16, 2024. “So on January 16, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho sent the letter to Mendikbudristek. The letter was approved, and on January 18, Mendikbudristek appointed Dr. Chatarina Muliana Girsang, S.H., S.E., M.H., as the Acting Rector of UNS,” Prof. Muhtar explained on Friday (19/1/2024).
Dr. Chatarina Muliana Girsang, S.H., S.E., M.H., will be stationed at UNS until the definitive Rector of UNS is inaugurated, while she continues to serve as the Inspector General of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. HUMAS UNS
