UNS Library Holds Turnitin Training

UNS — The Library Unit of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized an Online Turnitin Training through the Zoom Meeting platform. The event was attended by 209 participants from the academic community of UNS. The Online Turnitin Feedback Studio + Originality – Instructor Training had the theme ‘Strengthening Academic Integrity in the AI Era.’

The event was opened by the Acting Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., with the main speaker, M. David Lung, Senior Professional and Education Services Consultant-Turnitin, on Thursday (18/1/2024).

The Training Coordinator for Training, Education, Research, and Community Service at the UPT Library UNS, Sri Utari, S.E., M.A., served as the moderator for the Online Turnitin Feedback Studio + Originality – Instructor Training.

“Turnitin Feedback Studio is a comprehensive tool to improve writing quality and maintain academic integrity. Its features, such as originality checks, voice comments, and draft coach, are designed to provide feedback that supports the learning process, as well as the new procedures for submitting papers using Turnitin. Through the use of this tool, we can ensure that academic work is produced honestly and with quality,” Utari explained.

M. David Lung stated that Turnitin Feedback Studio is an academic integrity tool that provides feedback and assessment. Turnitin is used by 34 million students and 15,000 institutions worldwide. “Feedback Studio can help strengthen writing excellence, build critical thinking skills, integrity, and careers,” M.
