UNS – Diploma in Demographics and Civil Registration Study Program (4-year program) (DPS), Vocational School (SV), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a webinar entitle DPS Talk. The event that brings up a topic on the New Normal Transition Period in Population Administration Services, was held on Friday (10/7/2020) through a Zoom Meeting. The Study Program invites Dra. Wiwik Roso Sri Rejeki, M.Ap., from Directorate General of Civil Registration, Ministry of Home Affairs, Dhany Sukma, M.Ap., the Head of Civil Registration DKI Jakarta Region, and Yuhanes Pramono, M.Si., the Head of Civil Registration Office Surakarta.
The webinar that was lasted for two hours is attended by 150 participants. Dra. Wiwik Roso Sri Rejeki, M.Ap., reveals that all data is connected. Moreover, there are many user institutions that use population data in providing services such as Tax office, police, and BPJS.
“Looking forward, hopefully in the future, the data can be put together. Innovation that we did during the COVID-19 pandemic is providing electronic signature service and independent Civil Registration platform that can be used to personally print KTP and KIA,” Dra. Wiwik explains.
Dhany Sukma, M.Ap., states that the population registration and civil registration services remain in operation but there is efficiency. “When the document output is limited, then, the data will not be optimal and it will affect policy and decision. For instance, in the distribution of Bansos (Social Assistance), the COVID-19 affected community need to synchronize their data to obtain the social assistance from DKI Jakarta Regional Government,” he explains.
Dhany also mentions that there are four services provided by the Regional Government of DKI Jakarta namely Direct Service, Online Service, Integrated Service, and Proactive Service. The online service is initially provided for those with a high level of activity, with initial users around 15,000 people, but during the pandemic, it is soared to 115,000 users.
In his presentation, Yuhanes Pramono, M.Si., describe the facilities and challenges during the new normal period in the implementation of population service administration. Yuhanes mentions that civil registration documents can be delivered to villages office or sub-district office, and can be collected directly from the Civil Registration Office.
Yuhanes also explains the program’s name provided by Surakarta Civil Registration Office entitled Dukcapil Go Digital. “The service program that we develop is web-based Civil Registration application, expansion of the SAPUKUWAT Plus innovation program, and self-service Civil Registration Machine or ADM. Furthermore, services for people with a need (diffability) and for the elderly remain open, while sub-district services are maximized through online,” he concluded. Humas UNS
