UNS – Another proud achievement is obtained by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta students. Three UNS students won the first position in National Creative Video Competition D-Crev 2020. This competition was held by the Student Executive Board (BEM) Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Negeri Malang (UM). In this competition, the UNS team consists of Muhammad Arif Ilham Fadillah from Special Education Program (PLB) 2018 acting as the team leader, Muhammad Asyam Bagus from Structural Engineering Education Program (PTB) 2018 and Muhammad Nisman Faqih from English Language and Literature Program 2018. Starting from their personal experience, they applied to this competition independently.
Arif and his friend created a video titled Pulih (recovered) which tells a story in the new normal era, it is the time that all components of the society to adapt and create a new culture. “Pulih (recovered) tells a story that in the new normal era is the time for everybody to adjust ourselves and create a new culture in the community because new normal is not back to normal,” Arif explained to uns.ac.id team. After went through the selection process, on Monday (26/10/2020), the UNS team was announced as the first winner in the National Creative Video Competition D-Crev 2020. Arif and friends participated in the competition due to the individual encouragement and the willingness to channel their talents and interest.
“At the time we were actively fetching content, then we participated in the competition. The main objective of participating in the competition is to hone our ability and to understand what needs to be fixed in the future and Alhamdulillah, winning is the bonus,” Arif stated.
Further, Arif admitted that the preparation they took was not long, because UNS team was aware of the competition near the last day of registration. Then, they decided to participate in the competition and created storyboard and script for their video. ‘Pulih’ video was taken in public places such as the market, which is another challenge for them. They need to interact directly with people in those public places. Until the video is completed, all works were under control as the result of good teamwork. Representing his friends, Arif hopes that they can continue to innovate with better works equipped with the experience they gained previously. He also hopes that they can give their best for UNS in the future competition and championship. Humas UNS
