UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum and the Coordinator of National Certification Bodies for Professional Certification (Koordinator Sertifikasi Badan Nasional Sertifikasi Profesi – BNSP), Bornado Aldo Tobing opened second batch of Training for Competence Assessor of Professional Certification Institution (Asesor Kompetensi Lembaga Sertifikasi Profesi – LSP) on Monday (7/9/2020) in UNS Inn.
Prof. Jamal Wiwoho hopes that LSP UNS can be established and receive a license from BNSP shortly. Therefore, students and UNS alumni can take competence examination and get a certificate as a Diploma Certificate Attachment and become an added value in the labor market. Especially for student and graduates of Vocational School (SV) UNS can get a certificate as a competence according to the scheme (their respective expertise).
A similar response was conveyed by the Coordinator of Certification BNSP, Bonardo Aldo Tobing, that currently, skills become a preferred point in the working world. Therefore, competence certification is important because this certification can be used as proof that someone has competence in their field of expertise.
The training, which focused on 20 themes, was attended by representatives from two faculties, Faculty of Agriculture (FP) and Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). It is expected that in the future, there will be more faculties that attend the training, and thus, expand the schemes offered in LSP UNS.
The Chief of LSP UNS, Dr. Aniek Hindrayani stated that LSP UNS is suggested to achieve license from BNSP in 20 schemes of competence which consists of 19 occupation scheme and 1 cluster scheme. The suggestion came from 20 programs in 2 faculties, FP and FKIP. Currently, UNS has 11 faculties and 179 programs which later will follow by submitting scheme for competence certification according to their respective field to BNSP after LSP UNS achieve a formal license.
On the occasion, Dr. Aniek Hindrayani also delivered a report on the first batch training held on 31 August to 4 September 2020. The first batch was held for four days with Mrs. Retno Dwidarti, Mr. Agus Subagya and Mr. Arlis Yunianto as Master Assessor. Followed by an assessment of prospective assessors by dr. Faiza, Mr. Wahyu Budi and Mrs. Atiek as Master Assessor. In the first batch, 24 participants passed the assessment. Humas UNS
