Supporting IKA UNS Care forCovid-19 Program, BTN Handover An Ambulance Car as Assistance

UNS — The IKA UNS Care for Covid-19 Program is supported by numerous parties; one of them is from the Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). Through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, BTN handed an ambulance car as assistance for the IKA UNS Care for Covid-19 Program. The handover ceremony is conducted symbolically by the Head of BTN Branch Office in Solo, Doni Ronaldo, alongside the Head of OJK Branch Office in Solo, Eko Yunianto, Chairman of IKA UNS, on Wednesday (28/7/2021). A map containing the car’s key, Motor Vehicle Ownership Book (BPKB), and Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK), which symbolized the transfer, was the ambulance handover from BTN to the IKA UNS.

The Head of BTN Branch Office in Solo, Doni Ronaldo, states that BTN is involved in the collective action alongside IKA UNS because BTN considers that the IKA UNS Care for Covid-19 Program is actually targeting the low class of society. “We hope this can help stop the Covid-19 transmission in Solo and to help the affected community in Solo,” said Doni Ronaldo.

BTN’s involvement in ambulance car procurement for the program can not be separated from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Solo initiative. Previously, OJK Solo appreciates and supports the IKA UNS program. IKA UNS welcomes the assistance with pleasure. The Head of IKA UNS volunteer, Hari Praseyto, states that IKA UNS needs the ambulance car due to the high number of Covid-19 patients mobility. “We are also open to suggestions, inputs, and prospective programs for the community related to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are ready to get involved,” Hari said.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of IKA UNS, Bambang reported that IKA UNS has two ambulance cars. Previously, a number of activities such as meal package preparation for Covid-19 patients during their self-isolation, mask distribution, the burial of deceased Covid-19 patients, and preparation of coffin for less fortunate Covid-19 deceased patients, all these actions have been done by IKA UNS.

“This is an integral part of our effort to always work alongside the community amid this Covid-19 pandemic. For the next three months, we will evaluate the program. If the program must be carried on until the end of this year or until the Covid-19 cases reduced,” Bambang concluded, representing the Chair of IKA UNS, Ir. Budi Harto. Humas UNS
