UNS — The leader of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta made a visit to the Tomb of the 5th UNS Rector, the late Prof. Drs. Haris Mudjiman, M.A., Ph.D., in Buduran Village, Gabugan, Tanon, Sragen, Tuesday (15/3/2022). This activity was carried out in memory of the services of the deceased, who used to be exceptionally meritorious in advancing UNS.
In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M.Hum., states that the late Prof. Haris served as the Rector of UNS for two periods in 1995-2003. “Prof. Haris is a Rector who was very close to us, a lecturer from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). A very modest person, remarkable, and excellently charismatic in developing UNS. Hence, we can now together continue his effort in developing UNS. We can learn a lot from the experience of Prof. Haris during his two terms of leadership at UNS. We pray for the deceased’s sins during his life to be forgiven, for abundant blessing, and for him to stay at a good place beside the God Almighty,” said Prof. Jamal.
On this occasion, the UNS leader’s entourage was welcomed by the first daughter of the late Prof. Drs. Haris Mudjiman, M.A., Ph.D., Dian Ariningrum, dr., M.Kes., Sp.PK. dr. Dian Ariningrum, representing the family, thanked the Rector of UNS and the group who had paid attention to her late father. “I represent the family who wants to thank UNS for all the attention and willingness to make a visit to my father’s tomb and pray for the late Prof. Haris Mudjiman. Hopefully, UNS will progress further,” said Dian Ariningrum.
Then the event was followed by a prayer led by UNS Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan, M.Si., and flowers petals ceremony at the Tomb of the late Prof. Drs. Haris Mudjiman, M.A., Ph.D. Humas UNS
