Undergraduate Program in Arabic Language and Literature Achieved A-Level Accreditation

UNS — Proud news came from the Undergraduate Program in Arabic Language and Literature Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. In a news release received by uns.ac.id, the Arabic Language and Literature Program is accredited with A level per 30 September 2020 to 30 September 2025 according to the decision from BAN-PT number 6114/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/IX/2020.

The Head of Arabic Language and Literature Program FIB UNS, Dr. Eva Farhah conveyed that A level accreditation was achieved after the program went through a series of accreditation stages which is summarized in an online Field Assessment on 21 September to 22 September 2020. The assessment was led by two assessors, Prof. Dr. Yayan Nurbayan, M.A. from Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia and Prof. Dr. H. Sugeng Sugiyono, M.A. from Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga.

Based on the Operational Permit Decree number 172/D.2/2010 dated 12 July 2010 and Decree of Program Establishment number 14/D/O/2011 dated 12 January 2011, the Arabic Language and Literature Program was officially established and begin its learning and teaching process. The class of 2010 is the first generation which has significant effect and self-ability on the sustainability of academic and non-academic activities in the program which brought it to survive until 2020.

From 2010 to 2020, the Arabic Language and Literature Program has conducted planning, organizing, staffing, leading, controlling and evaluating to achieve its short-term, medium-term, and long-term objectives in line with the direction of university strategic plan. Not only looking for safety, one of the stages of study program self-evaluation is contained in an activity of Study Program Accreditation and Re-Accreditation submitted to the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

“The great sense of responsibility encourages the stakeholders, alumni, and general public, parents, students, faculty members, and related parties, as well as policymakers to collaborate in various forms of program activities, which brought the program to achieve this A level accreditation this year,” Dr. Eva Farhah explained on Friday (2/10/2020).

Dr. Eva Farhah added that this achievement cannot be separated from the support of UNS Rector, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum along with the ranks, the Dean of FIB, Prof. Dr. Warto, M.Hum. and the ranks, the Chief of LPPMP, Prof. Dr. Sarwiji Suwandi, M.Pd. and the ranks and solid team, and other parties who cannot be mentioned one by one. Representing the academic members of Arabic Language and Literature, Dr. Eva conveyed the highest gratitude for the supports provided.
