UNS – Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, S.H., M.H., a distinguished alumnus of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, has officially been appointed as the Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN). The appointment was announced on Tuesday (7/1/2025), at a ceremony held at the BKN Office in Jakarta, officiated by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reforms (PANRB), Rini Widyantini.
As reported on www.bkn.go.id, Prof. Zudan outlined three key priorities for his leadership role at BKN: implementing bureaucratic reform, promoting meritocracy, and enhancing the quality of public services. During his inauguration speech, Prof. Zudan emphasized the significance of aligning the vision of BKN with that of the PANRB Ministry.
“We share the same objectives, so we will work together closely. By eliminating barriers and fostering collaboration and synergy, we can achieve this shared vision,” Prof. Zudan remarked.
During the inauguration, Minister Rini Widyantini underscored five essential goals for realizing an accountable and transparent government. These priorities include strengthening the merit system, managing and updating civil servant data, enhancing ASN (civil service) management, ensuring professional employee assessments, and improving public service quality.
Before his appointment as Head of BKN, Prof. Zudan, a graduate of UNS’s Faculty of Law, held several significant positions. He served as the Director General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Secretary of the National Border Management Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BNPP RI), and Interim Governor of West Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Gorontalo.
In addition to his new role as Head of BKN, Prof. Zudan remains the Chairman of the National Executive Board of Korpri (DPKN) and the Vice Chairman of the UNS Alumni Association (IKA UNS). HUMAS UNS
