UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta developed a partnership with PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora. The draft of the Memorandum of Understanding signed directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, S. H., M. Hum and Hj. Eny Rahma Zaenah, S. E, M. M, as Chief Executive Officer PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora in Platinum Meeting Room, Tuesday (18/2/2020).
On the occasion, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho was accompanied by Vice-Rector of Planning and Partnership, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan, M. Si, Director of Vocational School (SV) UNS, Drs. Santoso Tri Hananto, M. Acc., Ak., Vice Director of Academic and Student Affairs SV UNS, Agus D. Priyanrto, MCALL, Vice Director of General and Finance SV UNS, Abdul Azis, S.Kom, M.Cs, and Rector Advisor for Planning and Partnership, Dr. Sutanto, DEA.
The agenda is opened with a factory tour of PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora. The UNS representatives participated in reviewing the book production process starting from the process of printing, editing, to designing. The representatives also participated in reviewing the library owned by PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora.
After signing the Memorandum of Understanding, in his speech, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho mentioned the ‘Kampus Merdeka’ and ‘Merdeka Belajar’ program launched by the Minister of Education and Culture (Mendikbud), Nadiem Makariem. For Prof. Jamal, Kampus Merdeka and Merdeka Belajar program will be supported by the role of PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora.
“The terms Kampus Merdeka and Merdeka Belajar we must run to the campus. We must run to the industry. And the closest industry to UNS is Tiga Serangkai. Therefore, I welcome and appreciate the signing of MoU with Tiga Serangkai,” Prof. Jamal stated.
As the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal openly stated his expectation that students from SV UNS who will participate in the professional internship will be welcomed and can learn under the guidance from PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora.
“I entrust my students, especially for the students from the Vocational School to have an intern here. PT. Tiga Serangkai becomes the best teacher. The best in the industry. Not only in terms of theory but also in terms of practice,” he added.
In line with Prof. Jamal, Hj. Eny Rahma Zaenah also agrees on the Kampus Merdeka and Merdeka Belajar program. She stated that PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora ready to accept students from UNS who will participate in the professional internship program. Besides that, in the future, PT. Tiga serangkai Inti Corpora also ready to place its best experts to teach in UNS. It is expected that with the expert lecturer, PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora can assist UNS to equip students with industrial experience.
The partnership between UNS and PT. Tiga Serangkai Inti Corpora will cover academic activities, such as managing the education process, teaching, tutorial, internship, training, research, and community service. More specifically, the partnership aims to prepare students from SV UNS with certain applied skills for the Diploma II, Diploma III, and Bachelor of Applied Science or Diploma IV.
As one form of the implementations, this partnership with place field supervisor and practice supervisor who have the duties to provide orientation for students about the regulation in the firm, to plan appropriate supervisory model for students, to arrange activities program for students that consists of improving knowledge, skills and attitude changes, and to perform evaluation on the student during supervisory process and to prepare report on student assessment.
