UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta had collaborated with the National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) Taiwan. This collaboration was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between both parties in the meeting room of the Vice Rector for Business and Information Cooperation Planning UNS, Tuesday (10/10/2023).
On this occasion, the delegates from NCHU Taiwan were welcomed by the Acting Vice Rector for Business and Information Cooperation Planning, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., along with the Head of the Center for Cooperation and International Services (KLI) UNS, Rino Ardhian Nugroho, S.Sos., M.T.I., Ph.D., and the Coordinator for International Cooperation in the European and African Region at the UPT KLI UNS, Dr. Dimas Rahadian Aji Muhammad, S.T.P., M.Sc.
Acting Vice Rector for Business and Information Cooperation Planning UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D., said that the partnership between UNS and NCHU Taiwan presents an excellent opportunity. “We hope this collaboration will be beneficial for both parties,” Prof. Irwan explained.
Meanwhile, Rino Ardhian Nugroho, S.Sos., M.T.I., Ph.D., the Head of the Center for Cooperation and International Services (KLI) UNS, noted that on this occasion, UNS signed the MoU and MoA not only with NCHU Taiwan but also with Rapixus. Rapixus is an IT company from Taiwan associated with NCHU Taiwan.
The cooperation between UNS and NCHU Taiwan encompasses the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service, as well as student exchanges. “There is one relatively specific aspect, which is cooperation in the development of software security,” Rino said.
Rino further explained that this collaboration does not only end here but also encourages cooperation between Rapixus and Solo Technopark (STP) as a representative of the local city government. “There may be potential for cooperation from various angles, between UNS and NCHU, and between Rapixus and STP,” he added.
