UNS Establishes Partnership With Institut Daarul Qur’an and STMIK Antar Bangsa

UNS — The Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta officially establish a partnership with the Institut  Daarul Qur’an (Idaqu-Daarul Qur’an Institute) and School of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK) Antar Bangsa, both institutions are under the management of Daarul Qur’an Foundation. The memorandum of understanding signatory was conducted by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, in Meeting Room 2 of dr. Prakosa UNS Rectory Building, Friday (19/2/2021). The signatory ceremony was attended by the Chairman of Daarul Qur’an Foundation Indonesia, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur, the Rector of Idaqu, Dr. Muhammad Anwar, S.Sos.I., M.E., and the Head of STMIK Antar Bangsa, Tarmidzi Ashidiq, M.A.

This partnership between three education institutions aims to synergize the potential of each institution to achieve their optimum performance in education, research, and community service. Various activities will be conducted as part of this partnership, among others are visiting lectures, research collaboration, education, community service activity, seminar, and opportunities for further study in UNS for lecturers from the two partner institutions.

“We want to learn from UNS that has managing a university for almost 45 years until this stage. We are just one year old, therefore, there are many things to learn from our senior,” Yusuf Masur states.

Meanwhile, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal hopes that through the partnership, the involved parties can synergize with each other and have a positive impact on the development of each institution. Prof. Jamal considers this partnership signatory like a marriage contract, thus, in the future, there should be outcomes as the result of the partnership. Moreover, he wishes that this two-year partnership can increase the number of Qur’an experts in UNS, like the one in Daarul Qur’an Foundation, whose members are Al-Qur’an experts and hafidz.

“As a partner of the Daarul Qur’an Institue and STMIK Antar Bangsa, there should be added value either in education, research, community service, publication, or lecturer exchange,” Prof. Jamal explains. Humas UNS
