UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a Collaboration Agreement (Perjanjian Kerja Bersama – PKB) with several partner banks in Meeting Room I Rectorate Builidng dr. Prakosa, Monday (19/10/2020). The collaboration between UNS and the partner banks are on the management of funds and the provision of banking services in UNS. The PKB was signed by the Rector of UNS Prof. Jamal Wiwoho and the representatives from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), and Bank Pembangunan Daerah (BPD) Jawa Tengah (Jateng).

On this occasion, Prof. Jamal was accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Finance and Management Affairs, Dr. Bandi and Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan. In front of the representatives from partner banks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, conveyed his gratitude for the signing ceremony. He hopes that this partnership can strengthen the relationship between UNS and the banking industry.

There are important messages that Prof. Jamal conveyed regarding the PKB. First, Prof. Jamal reminded that the PKB does not stop in the signing ceremony, he asked all of the bank partners to work together with UNS to follow the PKB fully. Secondly, UNS will actively monitor the implementation of the PKB. Prof. Jamal asked the bank partners to provide their best services. UNS take action if it found any shortcomings during the PKB. This matter was mentioned by the Rector because, in his opinion, the banking sector is the financial service sector which holds the public’s trusts. UNS will also provide suggestion concerning any shortcomings that appear during the PKB.

Third, UNS will always hold a discussion and communication concerning possible improvement in the future. Prof. Jamal appointed Prof. Sajidan to supervise the performance of partner banks. “If we found any shortcomings, we will discuss it to find an appropriate solution. We should not work in silence because it will bring less preferred results. We need banking services and the banking industry needs us, we need to maintain our partnership because it concerns short-term and long-term relationship,” he concluded. Humas UNS
