UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta student carved an achievement in the Tilawatil Quran Week (PTQ) held by Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) Surakarta. Detria Nur Aini Sutrisno, from the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) class of 2017, won the 1st position in the competition. The competition was held offline in RRI Surakarta Building, Abdul Rahman Saleh Street, Banjarsari Subdistrict, Surakarta.
Detria shed happy tears for this achievement. “Ya Allah, I cried. I’m so shocked. Allah still gives me a chance. I still trusted by Allah and RRI Surakarta to continue to the next stage,” she said to uns.ac.id team. She starts to prepare herself for the national round after the announcement on Tuesday (13/4/2021).
PTQ is a routine event held by RRI annually in all of its stations all over Indonesia. The first winner will represent their region in the national round, which means Detria will represent Surakarta (Solo) in the National PTQ RRI that will be held in Palembang, South Sumatera, on 1-6 May 2021.
This competition isn’t the first tilawah competition that Detria participated in. Previously, she participated in Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) at the Central Java level and national MTQ for university students in Aceh in 2019. She is interested in the current competition to increase experience, relation, and personal skills. It only took a night preparation before the competition for her. However, the competition was quite unnerving as she only knew the surah one hour before her turns. “Thus, (I) need to adjust with the ayah, tune, waqaf, meaning, and other components,” she said.
Closing the interview, Detria shared her hopes to bring the proud name of RRI Surakarta, family, close people, and UNS at the national level. “I hope I could get better. More down to earth and tawadhu’. To benefits people more and help more people. Better than today,” Detria hopes. Humas UNS
