UNS — Good news came from two students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta who won an achievement in MNC College Summer Virtual Competition for the Business Plan category. These students are Bayu Aji Prasetya, a student from the Indonesian Language and Literature Program Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB) and Ahmad Imam Syafi’i, student of Diploma in Agribusiness Program Vocational School (SV).
Broadcasted directly in RCTI+ on Sunday (16/8/2020), Bayu and Ahmad succeeded to secure the First Runner Up for their Tas Baju Cantik – TBC (Pretty Clothes Bag) idea. TBC is a product of drawstring bag and tote bag which has a unique 3-dimensional design. The products are made from used clothes. The idea was initiated since 2015, and at 2016, Bayu tried to produce the bag with hand stitches. Thus, in this competition, they tried to maximize it to reach optimum results.
This competition was held online through RCTI+ live stream and Google Meet application. At the initial stage, Bayu and Ahmad send their business proposal and a video explanation of the product as a form of presentation for 5 – 6 minutes. The best 5 participated in RCTI+ live stream and announcement.
Bayu admitted that he and Imam quite suddenly participate in the competition, they completed the requirements thirty minutes before the registration is closed. Bayu admitted that he is happy to be able to obtain the achievement even with the sudden preparation. He hopes that with this achievement will become an encouragement to keep their spirit in their works. Humas UNS
