UNS — Students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta successfully won an achievement in 2020 National Video and Poster Competition that raised the theme of Creative Youth in Creating Innovative Product. This competition was held by the Faculty of Economics (FE) Universitas Negeri Semarang (Unnes).
The UNS Team was named Raw Team with four members, Muhammad Arif Ilham Fadillah from Special Education Program 2018, Andi Kurniawan from Communication Science Program 2016, Khalifah Imam Ali from Informatics Program 2019, and Viviana Diffa from Visual Communication Design (DKV) 2018 successfully brought home the first prize through a short video titled Suits. The one-minute video was uploaded through an Instagram account for the assessment round. The video presents a promotion of Suits clothing brand.
The video shoots were performed in a hotel located in Karanganyar. Arif admitted that he and his friends registered to the competition near the closing of registration. “Dramas occur during the production process because we knew this competition near the registration closing and that means that we immediately re-conceptualized the entire existing video. We conducted the video shooting in a hotel in Karanganyar. This is a very valuable experience for all of us,” Arif stated, Sunday (22/11/2020).
After went through various competition stages, Arif and friends were announced as the first winner on Monday (16/11/2020). In this competition, they channelled their talent and interest as well as honing their skills and assess how far they have developed. Arif also added that UNS students as millennials should be able to innovate and make changes from small changes to the big ones. In the future, they hope that they can continue to work better and offer their best achievements for UNS. Humas UNS
