UNS – Students of University of Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta successfully obtained proud achievement from 2019 Marvelaw Unnes Competition conducted on 11-13 of November 2019.
In the competition held in the University of Negeri Semarang (Unnes), the team consisted of students from Law faculty (FH) which are Dinda Armelita, Fista Anin Gamara, Lailatul Mufidah, Nevi Arifah Oktaviani, Annisa Tri Utari, and Fatika Redita Suryadarma successfully brought the third winner home.
“So, the competition that we joined is contract drafting and negotiation competition. In the competition, our contract drafting title is the Technology License between PT. Airex Textile with La Chemise Ordinair Corp.,” explained by Lailatul Mufidah on (11/17/2019).
She explained that the case represented the example of the intellectual property right (HKI) case for textile production machine. She also added that the HKI in their work involved copyright, brand, and proprietary.
“PT. Airex located in Indonesia wanted to cooperate with La Chemise Ordinair Corp. located in France regarding a technology license. The cooperation involved copyright, brand, and proprietary of the production machine. The goal is in order to be protected, so they create the cooperation contract of technology license,” she added.
Through the competition, Mufida is aware that in facing the Industry Revolution 4.0, the students need to understand the regulations that can be implemented with today’s needs. Moreover, as the student of FH UNS, she needs to be educated about the applicable laws.
By the result, Mufida hoped that she can achieve better in the next competitions.
