UNS – The Village Head of Genggelang, Gangga District, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), Al Maududi, S.Pd., expressed his happiness over the arrival of two groups of Community Service Program (KKN) students from Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The two UNS KKN groups are Group 102, stationed in Penjor Hamlet, and Group 104, stationed in Senara Hamlet.

During a monitoring visit by the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Alumni at UNS, Prof. Ir. Dody Ariawan, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., accompanied by the Director of the Directorate of Academic Reputation and Student Affairs (DRAK) UNS, Dr. Sutanto, S.Si, DEA., on Monday (19/8/2024), Al Maududi, S.Pd., expressed how much the village benefited from the presence of the KKN students. “For approximately 45 days, the UNS students conducting KKN in the two hamlets of our village have been very friendly. They have integrated well with the residents. The students even explored the potential of each hamlet to help the residents develop these opportunities after the KKN program ends,” Al Maududi explained during the UNS leadership’s visit to the Genggelang Village Office.

Al Maududi thanked UNS and expressed hope that more KKN students would come to Genggelang Village in the future. “Village development isn’t just the responsibility of the village government; it requires support from other parties. We in Genggelang Village are open to collaborating with UNS. On behalf of all the residents, I apologize if there were any misunderstandings during the students’ stay,” he added.
