UNS — The closing ceremony of ARTEFAC Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta 2020 was conducted virtually on Saturday (26/9/2020) through artefacuns.id official website. As an annual event, the 7th ARTEFAC UNS raised the theme of Living Life in Color.
According to Fernanda Januar as the Project Officer, this theme is selected to adapt with the age of the event, which is 7 years old and selecting 7 colors of the rainbow, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet or shortened Mejikuhibiniu (Merah, Jingga, Kuning, Hijau, Biru, Nila, Ungu) as an analogy of diversity. This is reflected in the genre of the guest whose music genre is different from other musicians. However, due to the Covid-19, there was adjustment conducted by the managing committee.
Initially, ARTEFAC UNS will be held on March 2020 as one of the events in commemorating the 44th Anniversary of UNS. However, on 17 March 2020 through ARTEFAC UNS Instagram account, the committee announced that the event will be postponed. In the same Instagram announcement, the committee also apologized for the inconvenience and stopped ticket sales. This was a challenge for the committee because previously, ARTEFAC UNS has never been held virtually.
“We announced the cancellation of Pamungkas performance, ARTEFAC UNS invited five guest stars Neeloa, Kunto Aji, The Changcuters, Maliq & D’essensial, and Hindia,” Fernanda stated.
One of the guest stars, Kunto Aji delivered a warm greeting for the viewers. “Thank you for all of you who have attended this event today and joined. I wish you all good health and hope you will keep your spirits up in the face of this pandemic,” Kunto Aji stated in the middle of his virtual appearance.
