UNS—To enliven the 44th anniversary, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held “Semar” gymnast competition. Twelve teams participated in the competition held by the Faculty of Sport (FKOR) UNS in FKOR Venue Manahan, Wednesday (4/3/2020).
The participants consisted of academic and faculty staff from the rectory, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Social and Political Science (FISIP), Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Faculty of Economic and Business (FEB), Faculty of Cultural Science (FIB), Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA), FKOR, Postgraduates, and UNS Hospital.
The head of UNS Student Bureau, Agus Rohman Pratomo Accompanied by the Head of Faculty opened the competition. Agus Rohman Pratomo stated that this is the first “Semar” gymnast competition and became a series of UNS anniversary commemoration.
Meanwhile, the Committee Chairman and the creator of Semar Gymnast, Hendrig Joko Prasetyo stated that UNS that has been declared as healthy campus in 2019, has conducted routine gymnast on friday. The gymnast is conducted on Friday in each unit.
“Even though the preparations were very tight, there were many teams participated. Participants are also enthusiastic to participate in the competition. The performance of the participants was also extraordinary, they were not only displaying the Semar Gymnastics movement but also displaying very different unique clothes according to their respective faculties,” Hendrig said.
One of the participants, Bambang Priambodo from postgraduate school UNS stated that he and his team feel happy that they can participate in the competition.
“As the participant of the competition, I and my team are very excited to participate. Even if we lose, it is okay as long as we can participate in the UNS 44th Anniversary this year. And I hope an agenda like this is regularly held by UNS,” Bambang said. Humas UNS/Dwi
