UNS — The students of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has obtained an achievement at the national Student Scientific Writing Competition (Lomba Karya Tulis Ilmiah Mahasiswa – LKTIM) 1st Marketpreneur. UNS Team, Team Better that consists of Adam Akbar Harun, Alya Nada Aqila, and Yulia Istiqomah, won the 3rd position in the competition held by Marketing Management Program Students Association (HMPS) UNS.
Under the supervision of Brian Gregory Adhihendra S.E., M.Sc., a Faculty Member of Marketing Management at the Vocational School (SV) UNS, the team submitted research on the creation of a new application to invite the Millennials to the entrepreneurial world. This team selected a technology sub-theme and aimed for a new application output because they consider millennials to be inseparable from their smartphone. “With the advanced technology and rapid development of internet technology, we are interested in utilizing this condition to invite the millennials to move forward and become an excellent entrepreneur and contribute to the Indonesian economy,” Yulia, a team member, explained to uns.ac.id team.
The competition was held online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application because of the existing Covid-19 pandemic. After going through various competition stages and preparing for three months, the managing committee announced that Yulia and friends win the third position on Tuesday (17/11/2020). They admitted that they were delighted with this result. Yulia hopes that their idea can be realized and beneficial for many people. “Personally, I hope that I can participate in the next competition so that I can continue to learn and provide the best,” Yulia concluded.
