UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta invites all academic communities to give their best efforts after the university is designated as a University with Legal Entity (PTN BH). This invitation was conveyed in front of the university executive board, faculty, institutes, Postgraduate Program Director, Vocational School Director, and Chief of Bureaus in ‘Leader Coach (PTN BH Basic Mentality) for UNS Executive Board’ held in UNS Inn, Friday (4/12/2020).
“Since designated as PTN BH on 6 October, UNS needs to prepare new flows for PTN BH. In about one month, we already have Trustee Council (Majelis Wali Amanat – MWA), Academic Senate (Senat Akademik – SA), and Board of Professors,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Prof. Jamal also asked all academic communities of UNS to implement PTN BH on 2 January 2021 together. “We have to gas poll (go all out). Energy, ability, and integrity must be prepared,” he added. Therefore, in the ‘Leader Coach (PTN BH Basic Mentality) for UNS Executive Board’ event, UNS invited speakers from institutions that have successfully implemented PTN BH to increase the UNS executive board’s enthusiasm. The invited speakers are the Rector of Universitas Diponegoro (Undip), Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, and the Director of Apindo Research Center, Dr. Soeprayitno. “Hopefully, the executive boards in UNS can obtain a lesson from Undip journey in implementing PTN BH,” Prof. Jamal stated.
The managing committee of the event, who is also the Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Sajidan, hopes that this event can provide a new mindset or views in implementing PTN BH. “PTN BH is a mandate from PP No. 56 of 2020; hopefully, this can be implemented well,” Prof. Sajidan stated.
On the occasion, the Rector of Undip, Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama delivered material on ‘PTN BH to Achieve World-Class University’. While the Director of Apindo Research Center, Dr. Soeprayitno delivered material on “PTN BH Basic Mentality”. Humas UNS
