UNS – Students from the Medical Faculty (FK) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won the first prize in the Hasanuddin Scientific Fair competition held on November 10-12, 2023, at Hasanuddin University in Makassar. The winning team consists of Helena Adelia Prabowo, Isna Cahya Kamila, and Quarta Atsir Azaria Dewi.
The competition entry from the UNS FK student team was a public poster aimed at educating the wider community. The poster, titled “Mandul Tanda PCOS? Hindari MALAS, Cegah dengan CERDAS (Infertility as a Sign of PCOS? Avoid Laziness, Prevent with Wisdom),” successfully outperformed participants from across Indonesia.
Quarta Atsir Azaria Dewi explained that the competition involved several stages. The first stage included judging by a panel and voting on Instagram, followed by the selection of the top 10. Subsequently, the top 10 were chosen to present in person at Hasanuddin University.
“I hope that we, as doctors or public figures, can disseminate all knowledge to the community in the most interesting way possible so that people can remember and implement the knowledge effectively,” Quarta said on Wednesday (15/11/2023).
Quarta advised not to hesitate to participate in such competitions. “Don’t worry, you will eventually find the field that you like and excel in. As for expenses, there’s no need to worry too much because UNS has facilitated it. Don’t miss the opportunity to travel, participate in competitions, and achieve success facilitated by the university,” Quarta added. HUMAS UNS
