UNS – A total of 31,490 participants will join the 2025 Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). The UTBK Center at UNS Surakarta will host the test from April 23 to 30 and May 2 to 4, 2025.
On Wednesday (23/4/2025), the first day of the UTBK, the university leadership team conducted monitoring and evaluation. UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si. led the team at several test locations. The exam runs in two daily sessions: a morning session and an afternoon session.
The UTBK at UNS will take place across four campuses: Kentingan, Mesen, Kleco, and Pabelan. The university will use 57 examination rooms and provide 1,585 computers for each session.
“The number of participants registered for UTBK 2025 at UNS reached 31,490. This marks a 5.7% increase from 29,786 participants in 2024,” Prof. Hartono said during an interview following the on-site monitoring.
Inclusive Testing Facilities for All Participants
Inclusion remains a priority for UNS. The 2025 UTBK also accommodates participants with disabilities, including those with visual impairments, hearing impairments, and physical disabilities.
“This year, we are assisting 6 visually impaired participants, 3 hearing impaired participants, and 1 participant with a physical disability,” Prof. Hartono added.
Overall, the first day of the UTBK ran smoothly. During the first session on April 23, 1,537 participants (96.97%) were present, while 48 participants (3.03%) were absent.
“Alhamdulillah, the first morning session went smoothly,” Prof. Hartono noted.



UNS Offers 97 Study Programs in 2025 UTBK-SNBT
For the 2025 UTBK – Test-Based National Selection (UTBK-SNBT), UNS is offering 97 study programs. These include 75 undergraduate (S1) programs, 7 applied undergraduate (D4) programs, and 15 diploma (D3) programs.
This year, 9 new study programs are joining the UTBK-SNBT for the first time:
- Public Administration (Off-Campus Program in Kebumen) (S1)
- Informatics (Off-Campus Program in Kebumen) (S1)
- Plant Protection (S1)
- Manufacturing Engineering Technology (D4)
- Digital Marketing (D4)
- Digital Banking and Finance (D4)
- Mandarin for Business and Professional Communication (D4)
- Informatics Engineering (Off-Campus Program in Madiun) (D3)
- Accounting (Off-Campus Program in Madiun) (D3)
With these new additions, UNS continues to broaden its academic offerings to support the diverse interests and career goals of prospective students.
