UNS – Students from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta have once again made the university proud. They secured top positions at several prestigious national medical competitions. These accomplishments reflect their strong academic capabilities, competitive spirit, and unwavering dedication to advancing medical science and health research.
FK UNS Students Shine at the 2025 Scripta Research Festival
At the 2025 Scripta Research Festival (SRF), hosted by FK Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), FK UNS students displayed exceptional talent. They achieved remarkable success at the event. One team—Christopher Daniel Tristan, Nathania Ella Sudiono, and Erlangga Masykur Kynaya—clinched 1st Place in the Literature Review category. Their paper, focusing on Endocrine and Metabolism, explored the growing prevalence of metabolic diseases, a pressing issue in modern medicine.
The same team also earned 2nd Place in the Oral Presentation category with a detailed presentation on Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology. This accomplishment showcases their versatility and in-depth knowledge across multiple medical disciplines. It demonstrates their ability to excel in both theoretical research and oral communication.
Another team, consisting of Faithu Arthuvachivo, Fasha Putri Arkhani, and Raihan Putra Ayudya, claimed 1st Place in Oral Presentation category. Their topic, Endocrine and Metabolism, reinforced FK UNS’s strong reputation in endocrinology research. It also highlighted their ability to present complex medical topics effectively.



Further Achievements in National Medical Competitions
FK UNS students also excelled at the 2025 Scientific Atmosphere (SA) competition organized by FK Universitas Udayana. In this competition, Christopher Daniel Tristan, Caroline Angelique Kuntjoro, and Nathania Ella Sudiono won 2nd Place in Research Paper category. Their paper focused on antibiotic resistance, addressing an urgent global health challenge. This issue continues to have far-reaching implications for medical practice worldwide.
At the 2025 Festival Science Competition (FASCIA), hosted by FK Universitas Hang Tuah, another FK UNS team secured 2nd Place. Helena Adelia Prabowo, Nadia Ramadhina Salfistra, and Jauza’ Athifah Hanun participated in the Public Poster category. Their project covered Clinical Cardiology, highlighting the critical importance of public education in preventing heart disease. It also promoted heart health awareness.
These remarkable achievements demonstrate FK UNS’s ability to compete and thrive in national medical research competitions. The students’ success not only reflects their talent but also reinforces UNS’s role in fostering a culture of scientific excellence. Their accomplishments align with UNS’s commitment to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. This includes Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, and Goal 4: Quality Education.
