UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized a special Declaration ‘Bangga Pancasila (Proud of Pancasila)’, commemorating the Pancasila Day. This declaration was conducted during the Lakecoustic event that took place at Lake UNS on Friday (10/6/2022). This declaration was read by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho and then followed by all the UNS academic members who attended the event.
Other than the Rector of UNS, the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Affairs, Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo; the Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs, Prof. Sajidan, Vice-Rector for Management and Human Resources Affairs, Prof. Bandi; and lastly, the Chairman of the Academic Senate, Prof. Adi Sulistiyono also attended the event.
The event initiated by the Democracy and National Resilience Study Center (Pusdemtanas) was carried out in conjunction with the emission-free day implemented in UNS. The event began with academic members’ gymnastics and musical performances and was followed by the reading of the ‘Bangga Pancasila’ Declaration by the Rector of UNS, which all the UNS academic members followed.
In his remark, Prof. Jamal said that this activity was held to commemorate Pancasila Day, which fell on June 1. “This Lakecoustic is designed to commemorate Pancasila’s Day. Moreover, UNS has been established as a university with a dynamics national motto, such as the pioneer and fortress of Pancasila. We hope that UNS is not only excellent in quality, ranking, and achievement but must also incorporate Pancasila and local cultural values as its foundation,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sunny Ummul Firdaus, the Head of Pusdemtanas, said that this event was the culmination of the commemoration of Pancasila Day. “This is our top event, previously, we had several activities such as Sarasehan and workshops on Pancasila values implementation. We will incorporate these values according to students’ wishes and the community’s needs,” she explained when interviewed. Humas UNS
