UNS – Communication Science Program Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta is encouraged to achieve international accreditation after accredited with A for five consecutive times by the National Accreditation Board (Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi – BAN-PT). The Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs FISIP UNS, Prahastiwi Utari, Ph.D stated that based on BAN-PT Decree Number: 690/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/VI/2020 concerning the Accreditation of Communication Science Program at the Undergraduate Level dated 30 June 2020, that Communication Science Program UNS got an A Accreditation with a total score of 362 and is effective from 28 June 2020 to 28 June 2025.
There are nine assessment criteria for program accreditation. First, vision, mission, objective, and strategy. Second, leadership, governance, and partnership; third, students; fourth human resources; fifth, finance, facilities, and infrastructure; sixth, education; seventh, research; eighth, community services; and ninth, dissemination and Tri dharma implementation.
With this accreditation, Prahastiwi conveyed her gratitude to all teams, from the leader of FISIP UNS, the faculty members of Communication Science Program, academic staffs, students, and alumni for the hard works. Prahastiwi hoped that Communication Science Program FISIP UNS does not stop at the A accreditation from BAN-PT. Preparations are needed in achieving international accreditation. Humas UNS
