UNS – The public awareness toward the medical personnel, who are currently struggling to handle the COVID-19, shows great concern. Various support continuously provided by the public. One of the support initiated by the IIDI (Indonesian Doctors Wives Association) Solo Branch on Friday (3/4/2020) by visiting the Faculty of Medicine (FK) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. During the visit, the IIDI Branch delivers Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) to the FK UNS.
The Chairperson of IIDI Solo Branch, Sri Mulyaningsih Prasetyadi said that currently, PPE becomes one of the critical needs that must be owned by medical personnel. However, the need for PPE has not completely fulfilled. IIDI moved to deliver assistance to the public. On this occasion, IIDI provides assistance in the form of funds and medical equipment to the FK UNS and UNS Hospital.
“We realize that our co-assistants and residents really need this. Hopefully, the aids we provide will be useful,” said Sri Mulyaningsih.
The aids given are masks, handscoon, booster/vitamin C, mob cap, nurse cap, shoe cover, hand sanitizer, bread, milk, and beverages. Not only FK UNS and UNS Hospital, but there are also three other hospitals that become the target for the aid’s distribution, namely RSUD dr. Moewardi, RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta, and RS Panti Waluyo. The aids given were welcomed by the medical personnel.
Sri Mulyaningsih also advised the public to keep praying for the doctors and medical personnel who are under duty. But not forgetting to maintain health and cleanliness, thus the condition will be recovering soon.
