UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized a workshop to establish admission quotas and specific requirements for the 2025 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) for Diploma and Bachelor’s programs. The event took place at Hotel Harris Solo on Wednesday (8/1/2025) to ensure transparency and accuracy in determining the university’s student intake capacity and program-specific requirements.
The workshop was attended by key stakeholders, including UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr. In his opening remarks, UNS Rector Prof. Dr. Hartono emphasized the importance of coordination between study programs and faculties in determining relevant admission quotas and requirements. “We hope this workshop will help us create a better admissions system and provide equal opportunities for all prospective students to access high-quality education at UNS,” Prof. Hartono said.
He added that the workshop aims to provide all stakeholders with a clear understanding of the procedures governing the SNBP selection process, thereby reducing confusion for prospective students and related parties.

Vice Rector for Academic and Research Affairs Prof. Dr. Fitria Rahmawati, S.Si., M.Si., explained that UNS offers three admissions pathways: the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP), the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT), and the Independent Selection.
“As a State Legal Entity University (PTNBH), UNS allocates at least 20% of its admission quota to the SNBP, a minimum of 30% to the SNBT, and a maximum of 50% to the Independent Selection,” Prof. Fitria stated.
She also shared important dates for the 2025 SNBP. Currently, schools are registering accounts for the National Student Admissions Database (SNPMB) and filling out the School and Student Database (PDSS) from January 6 to 31, 2025. Student account registration runs from January 13 to February 18, 2025, while SNBP applications will be open from February 4 to 18, 2025. Results are scheduled to be announced on March 18, 2025, with the SNBP participant card download period from February 4 to April 30, 2025.
Head of the SPMB UNS (Admission Office), Prof. Drs. Sutarno, M.Sc., Ph.D., detailed the process of determining quotas for each program based on the intake capacity for the 2025 academic year.
The event also reviewed the specific requirements for each study program under the SNBP, including academic achievement criteria, portfolios, and other relevant qualifications. These measures aim to establish a fair, competitive, and tailored selection process that meets the demands of the education sector and advances scientific knowledge in Indonesia.
