The Rector of UNS Awarded The Staff Who Enters Retirement Age

UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta led the awarding ceremony for 65 Civil Servants in UNS who are about to enter their retirement. This ceremony was held virtually and directly (offline) on Tuesday (13/10/2020) morning, in the Meeting Room IV, dr. Prakosa Rectorate Building.

The Academic Members and Support Staffs awarded at the ceremony are from the faculties and work unit in UNS, such as the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Law (FH), Faculty of Agriculture (FP), as well as the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD). For their service to the UNS, the university specifically provides a token of appreciation, awards, and ring to the retired staff. The token of remembrance was delivered directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho to the 13 representatives.

In front of the retired staff, Prof. Jamal states that it is a difficult moment for him to let the retired staff off. “If today I am allowed to cry, I will cry because we are losing people with integrity,” Prof. Jamal reveals.

Prof. Jamal considers the 65 retired staffs are the best staff in UNS. For him to remain and serve in UNS need a long process and time, especially for academic members who should obtain a certain degree in Undergraduate, Master, Doctoral, and Professor. In his remarks, Prof. Jamal asked about the serving period of one of the retired academic members from the Faculty of Medical Science (FK), Prof. Aris Sudiyanto. Prof. Arif reveals that he had to serve UNS for 46 years.

Prof. Jamal also hopes that the retired academic members and support staff to keep their contribution to UNS. Humas UNS
