UNS — The Heyyou Social Project initiated by the alumnus of the Faculty of Law (FH) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a post-university webinar. This event was held on Saturday (9/1/2021) through Zoom Cloud Meeting. Taking on the theme regarding ‘Life After Campus: Determine Your Direction Before Graduation’, Heyyou invites three speakers Hikmah Bima, Aditya Very, and Yahya Ayyasy.
The first speaker, Hikmah Bima Odityo discusses the topic of Study Abroad With Scholarship. In his presentation, he recounts his motivation to take further study, all aspects to be prepared, scholarship recommendation, and how to adapt to abroad life. “My motivation to take a Master’s degree is to be useful for others and gain broader knowledge. Before taking my Master’s, I was part of a community social project in a Legal Aid Institution (LBH),” he explains.
Further, he explains that he decided to continue his study abroad after witnessing that many people in Indonesia experience oppression and partiality. This condition motivates Bimo to focus on Human Rights at Lancaster University.
The second speaker, Aditya Very Cleverina, discusses the ‘Fresh Graduate Career,’ stating that, “Everyone has hope, this can be realized and become useful for them,” as an opening. Further, he explains the career option for fresh graduates. He also advised that it is important to choose a linear field study.
“Everyone has the same opportunities, thus you do not need to be pessimistic. It is possible that, maybe, the next year we will be at a higher level. Never regret the past, make the best for the present, and pray that your dreams will be facilitated,” he said again.
The last speaker for the event was Muhammad Yahya Ayyasy Alhaafidzh. In his presentation, Ayyas shares his views on ‘Start A Successful Business Before 20 Years Old,’ while sharing the tips for the young generation to achieve their dreams. Ayyas also explains that the young generation must be financially literate, understanding investment concepts, have broad connections, and can collaborate with various people, as well as living healthily.
Further, Ayyas provides tips on how to establish a business with small capital. “All the blessings we have, including our healthy body, can be our initial capital. It depends on how we create opportunities to use these potentials. The most important capital is not money but intentions and ideas,” he explains.
As a concluding remark, Ayyas shares his last tips to be successful at a young age. “Do not depend on one resource. Find the second resource, third, and so on. The young generation is like the sun at noon, the brightest, hottest, and the most excited. So, do not spend your youth with no achievement,” he concluded. Humas UNS
