UNS Art, Culture, and Creative Industry Research Group Encourages Student to Start Business

UNS –- The Research Group Art, Culture and Creative Industry, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, hosts ‘E-Marketing Training for Waiting Graduates’. The event was held on Monday (27/7/2020) through Zoom Online Meeting. Lasted for two and a half hours (13.00 – 15.30) presented several speakers namely Novi Bayu Darmawan the CEO of Kampung Marketer, Ahmad Mufid the Owner of Moe Moe Helm, and Addin Kurnia Putri, S.Sos., M.A., a lecturer from Sociology Study program UNS.

The Chair of Art, Culture, and Creative Industry Research Group, Dr. Supriyadi SN, SU, wished that this training can encourage students to start their business and catch the opportunity to stay productive. “One of the objectives of this training is to motivate students to stay productive and taking the challenge as an opportunity,” Dr. Supriyadi reveals.

In his presentation, Novi explains the canvas business that can be maximized by novice entrepreneurs. Canvas business becomes the right choice for beginners can be a catcher for business opportunities. Additionally, Canvas Business also take roles in analyzing prospective business.

Meanwhile, Mufid detailing how to use the marketplace in online selling and social media to encourage the business. In using the marketplace, an entrepreneur must be good at reading opportunities and consumer needs. This intended to achieve the maximum objective by using marketplaces for online selling.

Meanwhile, Addin Kurnia Putri, S.Sos., MA, explains that webinar series like this one is important to conduct by an education institution to prepare graduates ready to work or entrepreneurship. Humas UNS
