UNS — The Village Development Team Student Association (HM) Pelita, Agricultural Extension & Communication Study Program (PKP), Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, obtain funding for community engagement program. This funding is from the Hollistic Program in Village Development and Empowerment (PHP2D), Ditjen Belmawa, Minister of Education and Culture.
The PHP2D program conducted by the Village Development Team of HM Pelita has going on for three months. The program outcomes, among others, are the ‘Japigo’ a crispy friend mushroom snack produced by Mushroom Processing Business Group (KUPJ) Gondangmanis and partner villages in Gondangmanis Village, Karanganyar District.
The PR of PHP2D Team, Hasan Nugroho, states that the Crispy Mushroom ‘Japigo’ will be marketed through offline channels in several locations. “The selling plan, Japigo will be sold offline in MSME Center at the village level, souvenir center in Karanganyar District, as well as establishing a collaboration with the SME Office Karanganyar to allow the product to get sold in Indomaret,” Hasan explains to uns.ac.id, Sunday (29/11/2020).
The inauguration of Japigo and HM Pelita Partner Village was held on Thursday (26/11/2020). The inauguration was attended by Martadi, S.Sos., MM. (Head of Karanganyar Trade, Manpower, Cooperative, and SME Department), Drs. Titis Sri Jawoto (Head of Karanganyar Tourism, Youth, and Sports Department), Prof. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T. (Vice-Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs UNS), Dr. Agung Wibowo, S.P., M.Si. (Vice Dean of Student and Alumni Affairs FP UNS), lecturers from PKP FP UNS, Forum for Karangpandan Sub-District Leaders, Agricultural Extension Center Team (BPP) Karangpandan, and Gondangmanis Village Apparatus.
On this occasion, the Village Development Team of HM Pelita also handed a container box for a kiosk to sell MSME products. Hopefully, with this inauguration, the product from PHP2D HM Pelita can be useful to improve the economic activity in Gondangmanis Village. “Hopefully, with this launching, the HM Pelita product can be more beneficial in improving the village economy, as well as establishing collaboration with Gondangmanis Village as our partner village,” Hasan concluded.
