UNS Public Relations Visits IPB University

UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret Public Relations Team (Humas UNS) visited the Communication Bureau of IPB University on Thursday (27/2/2020). This visit is organized to refine Humas UNS knowledge in public relations.
In the visit, the Humas UNS team is consisted of the Deputy Humas UNS, Dr. Intan Novela Q.A, the Head of Brand Management Division Kusumaningdyah Nurul Handayani, Ph.D, the Head of Partnership Division, Heru Sasongko, M.Sc.Apt, Head of Media and Information, Ariyanto Adhi Nugroho, M.Ec. Dev, and several staff of Humas UNS.
Dr. Intan mentioned that the meeting with IPB University is highly anticipated by the Humas UNS team, considering that IPB University has many achievement records both at national and international levels.
“Alhamdulillah, we are excited to visit IPB University and meet the Communication Bureau. The information provided is very useful,” Dr. Intan explains.
Even though they do not have any communication and public relations knowledge, Dr. Intan admitted that she and the UNS Public Relations team had a high commitment to carry out public relations tasks. This was proved with UNS achievement in Anugerah Humas Ristekdikti.
The delegation from UNS is welcomed by the Head of Communication Bureau IPB University, Yatri Indah Kusumastuti and Team in Ruang Sidang Rektor II, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor.
Yatri mentioned, the IPB University Communication Bureau has three sections namely Public Relations, Promotion, and Chief Secretariat. The three sections, in practice, are collaborating with each other in carrying their task in Marketing Communication (Marcomm) and Corporate Communication (Corcomm). Yatri mentioned that Marcomm and Corcomm tasks are interrelated and cannot be carried out by one section only.
“IPB University always learning. We learn from anywhere, conducting a visit to any institution and keep obtaining new lesson. If not we will be left behind, because public relations is kept changing, especially following the industrial revolution 4.0,” said Yatri.
Yatri is optimistic that IPB University and UNS will be more developed in the future. She also thanked Humas UNS who visited IPB University. Yatri hopes that in the future, IPB University with UNS will continue to establish good communication and collaboration, in order to deliver more achievement and benefits for both internal and external stakeholders in each higher education institution. Humas UNS/Dwi
