UNS – It was a delightful and proud day for Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. On Tuesday (06/25/2019), for the umpteenth time, UNS inaugurated three new Professors of Faculty of Engineering (FT) in G. P. H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium UNS.
They were Prof. Yusep Muslih Purwana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. as a Professor of Civil Engineering, Prof. Dr. Cucuk Nur Rosyidi, ST., MT as a Professor of Industrial Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Triyono, ST., MT as a Professor of Mechanic Engineering. They were inaugurated directly by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.
In this Professor Inauguration Ceremony, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho hoped that the three Professors had just inaugurated would contribute their works for science and education.
In addition, Prof. Jamal expressed his pride because UNS can inaugurate three Professors at once.
“Undisputedly, today is a moment that makes us proud because UNS can add up 3 professors at the same time,” said Prof. Jamal.
He added that the essential role of a professor was a mandatory obligation given by the government to a lecturer at the university based on expert and intellectual recognitions in the disciplines of science, technology, art, or humanity.
At the end of his speech, Prof. Jamal reminded that a professor must have at least three functions which are guiding the noble value of UNS, developing knowledge in future, and contributing to the solutions of the national issues.
In the Professor Inauguration Ceremony, Prof. Yusep Muslih Purwana, S.T., M.T., Ph.D. was appointed as the 199th Professor of UNS and 8th Professor of FT, then Prof. Dr. Cucuk Nur Rosyidi, S.T., M.T. was appointed as the 200th Professor of UNS and 9th Professor of FT, and last but not least Prof. Dr. Triyono, S.T., M.T. as the 201st Professor of UNS and the 10th Professor of FT.
