UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Tron Energy Technology Corporation (Tron-E) and PT INKA Multi Solusi Trading (IMST). The agreement was signed on Wednesday (14/7/2021) through Zoom Cloud Meetings by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho; PT IMST President Director, Sri Sri Siddiqijah; and Richard Huang from Tron-E.
Prof. Jamal Wiwoho stated that the three institutions had shown their intention to work together in a Joint Venture Company in Indonesia. The company will develop various types of high-quality electric buses in the future. “Equipped with sustainable high-tech innovation, modern production facilities, reliable workforce, and strong market penetration and after-sales,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Through this Joint Venture, UNS is also expected to contribute to achieving SDGs at the national and global levels. “Our mission to participate in achieving SDGs, especially regarding clean and affordable energy,” Prof. Jamal added.
Agung Sedaju, PT INKA Developing Director, thanked UNS and Tron-E for collaborating and trust PT IMST in this Joint Venture. “We hope the research in UNS could support the industry in the future. The journey is long. This ceremony is the beginning. Let us continue with various actions and efforts,” Agung stated.
TRON-E is a company that provides environmentally friendly products with high technical specifications and excellent safety performance. TRON-E focuses on innovative cathode materials, Rechargeable Energy Storage Systems (RESS), and E-Bus.
IMST is a PT INKA affiliate with the main business in trading. It aims to facilitate the procurement process for railway industry components, including raw materials, main components, additional components, and various customer needs for non-rail transportation.
TRON-E Malaysia and IMST also have signed a collaboration to develop an electric bus prototype in 2020. Humas UNS
