UNS – National-level achievements were once again attained by students from the Electrical Engineering Program at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The Baskara ESRC FT UNS team sent three teams to the National Creative Design and Idea Competition (Lomba Gagasan dan Rancangan Kreatif, or Lograk) held at Politeknik Negeri Malang on November 23, 2023.
Their success in sending three teams that managed to win national awards in two categories demonstrates the high competence, dedication, and innovation possessed by these students.
Team 1 Baskara, consisting of Ilham Dwi Rahayu as the team leader, Rehuel Adonia Dela Abkar, Syifa Hauna Nur Syahidah, and Wisnu Pradana Aji Syahputra as team members, achieved second place in the Future Energy Innovation Application Category for Advancing Indonesia with the project titled “Design and Build Electric Cart Hybrid Charging Station to Support MSMEs with ATMEGA 328-Based SWAP System Method at Tawangmangu Market.”
Similarly, Team 2 Baskara won First Honorable Mention and the Best Poster Award in the same category with the project titled “Design of Wind Power Generator Without Blades to Support Piezoelectric-Based Renewable Energy with Utilization of Current and Voltage Using the Internet of Things.” This team consisted of Riyadh Pratama Saputra as the team leader, Muhammad Ilham Alghifari, Rahmat Rohmani, and Wahyu Heriyanto as members.
Additionally, Team 3 Baskara achieved the status of one of the Top 10 Finalists in the Implementation of IoT-Based Technology Innovation Category for Advancing Indonesia with the project titled “Smart Locker for IoT-Based Item Storage as a Prevention of Criminal Theft with a Single User Method.” This team consisted of Gilang Fajar Ramadhan as the team leader, Aflahal Fahmi, Alfiana Ramadhani, and Nur Rohman Abdul Hamid as members.
These three teams were guided by Agus Ramelan, S.Pd., M.T., a lecturer in the Electrical Engineering Program at FT UNS. “This outstanding achievement is not only an award but also concrete evidence of their dedication, innovation, and contribution to creating relevant and beneficial solutions for the progress of Indonesia. Hopefully, this achievement can inspire other students to continue innovating and contributing in the field of technology that can have a positive impact on the nation,” Agus Ramelan said. HUMAS UNS
