UNS Students Shared the Tips and Tricks in Digital Marketing

UNS — Several Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta students initiated a digital workshop discussing the marketing field. These students are the Team 138 Student Community Service Program (KKN) members for January-February period. Their webinar titled “Digital Marketing E-Commerce” was held to promote economic inclusion through digital technology.

“The rapid technological development has created online sales, one of which is through e-commerce,” Agus explained to uns.ac.id team on Friday (26/2/2021). Agus added that this event aims to develop and explore village potential in achieving economic inclusion through technology utilization. A speaker from Tokopedia, one of the largest e-commerce platforms in Indonesia, was invited to deliver materials on digital marketing through the e-commerce platform.

The invited speaker was Restu Agung Dwi Pambudi, Regional Growth Xpansion Tokopedia Semarang, who shared his expertise on Saturday (20/2/2021) through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform. The online event was supported by Ngunut Village Chief and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) entrepreneurs in the village. In the workshop, Restu discussed the tips and tricks to increase online shop performance. An online shop needs to pay attention to four issues to attract buyers; using the appropriate product name, putting an exciting product picture, providing detailed product description, and providing a competitive price.

“Hopefully, the material provided by Restu can enrich participants’ knowledge and can be applied in digital marketing through e-commerce, especially for MSMEs in Ngunut Village, Jumantono Subdistrict, Karanganyar District, and also people in general,” Agus said as the representative of his team.

Besides the program, Team 138 KKN UNS, supervised by Herwan Parwiyanto, M.Si, also created pudding products, passion fruit cake, and animal feed from passion fruit skin. The team also shared the packaging method for cake and pudding. With the program, the team hopes that local people can develop the new products and sell them through digital marketing. Humas UNS
