UNS — The Capacity Strengthening Program (PPK) Team of Student Organization (Ormawa) Komadiksi Smart of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) held a digital marketing workshop. The training activity took place at the Ngargoyoso Village Hall, Ngargoyoso District, Karanganyar Regency on Sunday (1/10/2023). Workshop participants included Karang Taruna Kridha Utama, the Ngargoyoso Village Secretary, and the Ngargoyoso Village Community-Owned Enterprises (Bumdes).
This training focused on the development, marketing strategies, online media usage, and business permits for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). PPK Ormawa Komadiksi Smart UNS invited Fiska Amanda Mulia, S.Pd., an entrepreneur and UNS alumnus, as the speaker.
Lintang Aprilia, a representative of the PPK Ormawa Komadiksi Smart UNS team, explained to uns.ac.id that the aim of the workshop is to persuasively assist in marketing local products. This effort aims to expand promotion and boost the village’s economy. Ngargoyoso Village produces several products through the Candrawati Mandiri Women Farmers Group (KWT). These products include mocaf flour and mocaf noodles.
“This digital marketing workshop is conducted to encourage young people to actively participate in the broad marketing of products created by KWT Candrawati Mandiri, such as mocaf flour and mocaf noodles. We aim for these products to be widely recognized by the public and to enhance Ngargoyoso Village’s economy,” Lintang Aprilia said.
During her presentation, Fiska expressed her enthusiasm for sharing experiences related to digital marketing. Most of the participants, being young individuals, are more familiar with technology. According to her, the youth of the village engaging in online marketing will help identify the right target market and reach a broader audience. This will increase the chances of attracting customers and strengthen the promotional efforts.
“I am delighted to provide digital marketing content to the young people from Karang Taruna Kridha Utama, who are eager to learn about online marketing. Nowadays, people are highly connected digitally. This greatly assists women who are not as familiar with online markets. Hence, the involvement of these young people is beneficial for online marketing, targeting the right market, expanding the market reach, and increasing customer opportunities. This also strengthens branding, particularly for mocaf flour and mocaf noodles produced by the KWT Candrawati Mandiri,” Fiska Amanda Mulia, S.Pd. said.
The PPK Ormawa Komadiksi Smart UNS team hopes that the village youth will implement mocaf flour and mocaf noodle products through digital marketing applications. This will enhance the branding of the products, gain a wide customer base in various regions, and introduce the mocaf flour and mocaf noodles produced by KWT Candrawati Mandiri from Ngargoyoso Village. This step is aimed at turning Ngargoyoso Village into an entrepreneurial village and improving the local economy for its community. *Humas UNS*
