UNS International Office held UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020

UNS — UNS International Office in collaboration with Center for Fintech and Banking UNS (UNS Fintech Center) and Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNS held UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 on 10 – 14 August 2020. UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 is the first summer course program in Indonesia initiated by the university that brought together students, financial industry regulators, Fintech experts, industry players, and academics both from within and outside the country. UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 is officially opened by Vice-Rector for Partnership and Planning Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan on Monday (10/8/2020). The opening ceremony was also attended by all participants and instructors.

In his opening remark, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan greeted 18 instructors who will deliver material in 14 modules. The UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 run for five days with 520 participants from 14 countries, Argentina, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Comoros, Indonesia, Cote d’Ivoire, Malaysia, Nigeria, Republic of Congo, Russia, Senegal, Thailand, and Turkey.

“UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 is organized as the response to the development of technology and digitalization in the financial industry,” Prof. Dr. rer. nat Sajidan stated in his remark.

The rapid growth of Fintech industry has changed the business process in all sectors, improve efficiency and make human life easier. The development of technology and Fintech needs to be balanced with the comprehension and development of Human Resources who are willing to adapt and learn with today’s development. This encourages UNS through its International Office, UNS Fintech Center and FEB UNS to hold UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 as an agenda of UNS Summer School 2020. Closing his opening remark, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Sajidan reminded all participants of UNS Fintech Summer Course 2020 not to lose spirit and learn amid the Covid-19 pandemic and fill their time with productive activities. High appreciation for all instructors for their willingness to become speakers in UNS Fintech Center 2020.
