UNS — Vice-Mayor of Surakarta, Teguh Prakosa, appreciated the products from Student Community Service Program (KKN) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta in his visit to the opening ceremony of KKN UNS Expo on Saturday (20/11/2021) in Solo Techno Park. The Vice Mayor also visited several stands to look into the excellent products exhibited.
The expo has 150 stands with a total of 1,155 exhibited products consisting of 212 digital products, 246 education products, 157 appropriate technology, 178 handicraft products, 212 processed food products, and other 150 creative products.
“Representing the Government of Surakarta Municipality, we appreciate and thank all UNS academic members for holding this KKN product exhibition. Hopefully, this expo could empower the community by introducing (and) developing the excellent products from each village,” Teguh stated.
Teguh was amazed by the exhibited products because the KKN program usually only lasted for two months. He added that the expo proved that community-university student collaboration could be implemented well.
“These products also could be developed by the students so that when they were graduated, they could work in the entrepreneurship field. Utilized what the municipal government has because it is a part of UNS as well; please utilize the facility during this event,” he added.
The Vice Mayor of Surakarta also hoped that this event could be a milestone between UNS and municipal government collaboration through product exhibition.
“Hopefully, this (exhibition) also inspires other campuses. For the previous KKNs, maybe they could be included in the next period. There will be more potential outputs. We challenge the students to develop (these products),” he concluded. Humas UNS
